1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Zecuri, a password manager operated by LineSpotting AB (Swedish organisationsnummer 559350-0755) ("we", "Zecuri"). By installing the Chrome extension, the iOS app, or by signing up at zecuri.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. You can stop at any time; your data is yours, encrypted under a key only you hold, and you can export it with the built-in encrypted backup.
2. The service
Zecuri lets you store credentials (passwords, TOTP secrets, notes), generate strong passwords, and autofill on websites and apps. It is end-to-end encrypted — we cannot read your stored data. The service consists of the Chrome extension, the iOS app (and future browser/mobile apps), and a future cloud sync service. The current version is local-first: no account, no data sent to our servers. When sync launches, it's optional — never required.
3. Your responsibilities
Master password
The master password is the foundation of your security. Choose a strong, unique one (at least 12 characters), remember it, and don't share it. We cannot reset it. If you forget it and haven't saved your recovery codes, your vault is unrecoverable — that's the price of zero-knowledge encryption.
Recovery codes
When you enable two-factor authentication, Zecuri shows 10 recovery codes. Save them somewhere safe and offline. Each can be used once to unlock your vault if you lose your second factor. We don't keep a copy.
Account security & lawful use
- Prefer a hardware security key or platform passkey for your second factor.
- Don't run Zecuri on devices you don't control; lock your vault when you step away.
- Don't use Zecuri for unlawful activity, unauthorized access, IP infringement, or fraud, harassment, or harmful conduct.
We can't monitor your encrypted vault. But if a court orders us to terminate an account or freeze a subscription, we will comply.
4. Pricing
The current version of Zecuri is free. When paid plans launch, pricing will be at zecuri.com/pricing, with at least 30 days' notice before any change. The local-first version stays free. EU B2C customers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Distansavtalslagen / EU Directive 2011/83/EU.
5. Intellectual property
The Zecuri name, logo, and brand are trademarks of LineSpotting AB (EU trademark, classes IC 009 and IC 042). The Zecuri client source is published under Apache-2.0; the future server software will be AGPLv3. The open-source license lets you inspect, modify, and self-host — it does not grant rights to the Zecuri name or logo for derivative products.
6. The service comes "as is"
Zecuri is provided as is, without warranties, to the extent permitted by law. We don't promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We do promise to keep our zero-knowledge architecture (no backdoor — a hard rule), disclose vulnerabilities promptly, never sell your data, and notify you of any security incident affecting your data within 72 hours of confirming it. EU consumers' statutory rights are unaffected.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LineSpotting AB is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, nor for data loss from a forgotten master password, lost recovery codes, or your failure to keep backups. For EU B2C users, mandatory consumer-protection limits apply; our maximum aggregate liability for direct damages is the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months, or €100 for free users.
8. Termination
You can stop at any time: uninstall the apps, destroy your vault in-app, or close your account (we delete the encrypted blob within 30 days). We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, are inactive for 24 months (with 30 days' notice), or where legally compelled. Accrued rights and obligations survive.
9. Changes
We update these terms when needed. Material changes are communicated to active users by email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. The current version is always at zecuri.com/tos.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence applies. Swedish consumers may use Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN); other EU consumers may use their local courts or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. Business disputes are resolved by Stockholms tingsrätt.
